All-Time Series:
The Pioneers are 40-71 against their nemesis, losing the last seven in a row. Malone's last win over Walsh came in 2011

Malone Notes:
  • The Pioneers are coming off a 1-1 week in which they earned their first GLIAC victory of the season in an exciting 86-85 overtime win at Wayne State on Thursday...On Saturday, Malone lost 83-67 to a Findlay team that knocked down 16 threes
  • In the loss to Findlay, center Brian Stone put up a career-high 29 points on 13-of-16 shooting...the 6'8" senior leads the team in scoring (15.1 ppg) and is no.1 in the nation with a 73.8 field goal shooting percentage
  • Senior Jay Parker led the Pioneers with 18 points in the win over Wayne State including the game-clinching free throw with less than a second remaining in overtime...on the year, the shifty point guard is averaging 10.3 ppg and is 6th in the GLIAC with 84 assists
  • Sophomore forward Mitchell Spotleson is second on the team in scoring (12.7 ppg) and 9th in the GLIAC in rebounding (7.3 rpg)...before being shutout from beyond the arc against Findlay, Spotleson had connected on three or more three-pointers in each of the previous six games while shooting 60.0% from deep...on the season, Spotleson is 8th in the GLIAC with 39 made threes and 3rd in the conference with a 44.8 three-point shooting percentage
  • Despite being held scoreless against Findlay, junior marksman Christian Graves is averaging 11.6 points a game and is 3rd in the GLIAC 51 made treys
  • Senior Stephen O'Daniel III is the 5th Pioneer in double-digit scoring, averaging 10.7 ppg
  • Senior forward Neil Gingerich who garnered the start in each of the last two games is shooting 55.7% from the floor...he is currently 10th in the GLIAC with 19 blocked shots

  • The Pioneers lost to the Cavaliers 91-75 at Walsh a season ago...O'Daniel III tallied a team-high 21 points while Stone poured in 18

Walsh Notes:
  • Losers of three straight, the Cavaliers hope to right the ship after dropping a 79-57 contest to Findlay and falling to Wayne State 83-76 this past weekend.
  • The Walsh offense comes in ranked 7th in the nation in fewest turnovers (10.1 a game) and features three players averaging 15 or more points a night
  • Jesse Hardin Jr, a 2015 First Team All-GLIAC Selection, is currently 4th in the GLIAC with 18.8 ppg and 1st with 58 made three-pointers...the senior guard, who seemingly never leaves the court, is first in conference and 7th in the country with 38.5 minutes played per game
  • Trey Fletcher is 8th in the conference with 16.9 points per contest...the 6'6" junior forward netted a career-high 27 points in the lost to Wayne State on Saturday
