The Malone University volleyball team will compete this weekend at the Mizuno Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover Tournament at the Great Lakes Center in Aurora, Illinois. The two-day event will feature 54 matches among 36 schools representing the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (GLIAC), the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), and the Great Midwest Athletics Conference (GMAC). The Pioneers, by virtue of their 1-8 GLIAC record, are the GLIAC's 13th seed and will face GLVC's #12 Quincy University (IL),  #13 University of Illinois Springfield, and #18 William Jewel College (MO).

·         Freshman outside hitter Mallory Adams leads the  team with 2.42 kills per set and is 2nd with 13 service aces

·         Senior middle hitter Elizabeth Maczuzak is 2nd with 2.27 kills/set. She leads the team with in attack percentage (.232) and total points (191.0). On defense, she is 11th in the GLIAC with 54 total blocks and 2nd on the team with 2.33 digs per set. She is currently 9th all-time on Malone's career block assists list with 171. (Records kept since 1995).

·         Freshman setter Cathryn Miller is 9th in the GLIAC with 510 total assists. With 58 assists this weekend, she could move into 10th place on Malone's career assists list (since 1995).

·         Freshman libero Maggie Hamrock leads the team with 3.02 digs/set. She is 16th in the GLIAC with 199 total digs

·         Junior middle blocker Haley Kool is 2nd on the team with 0.73 blocks per set. She is 16th in the conference with 38 block assists

·         Jordan Cloyd is 9th in conference games with 12 service aces. She leads the team with 14 aces on the season

·         The Pioneers were 1-2 in the 2014 GLVC/GLIAC Crossover Tournament, falling to Maryville (MO) and Saint Joseph's (IN), and defeating Bellarmine (KY).

·         Outside hitter Ashley Beaton leads the Prairie Stars with 2.74 kills per set, and is 2nd on the team with 18 service aces

·         Middle blocker Nikki Madoch (2.28 kills per set) leads the team with a .284 attack percentage

·         Libero Kayla Katarzynski averages a team-high 3.38 digs per set

·         Middle blocker Alyssa Hasler is 10th in the GLVC averaging 0.99 blocks per set

·         The Prairie Stars finished 3-0 in the 2014 Crossover Tournament with three set wins over Northwood (MI), Lake Erie, and Walsh.

·         Bekah Raebel leads the Hawks in attack percentage (.289) and kills per set (2.36)

·         Right side hitter Raechel Meisinger leads the team and is 5th in the GLVC with 3.31 kills per set

·         As a team, the Cardinals are 1st in the GLVC with 1.82 service aces per set. Meisinger leads the conference with 0.48 aces/set
