Box Score The Malone University women's soccer team lost on the road to rival and Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponent Walsh University Sunday afternoon, 5-1.
The Cavaliers started off quickly as they scored their first goal in the 8
th minute of the first half. They went on to score again in the 30
th minute. The Pioneers held the Cavaliers to 2-0 at the half.
In the second half, the Cavaliers kept the momentum going as they scored within two minutes and then scored again five minutes later.
In the 61
st minute, freshmen
Kaela Kovonda tallied her first career goal as a Pioneer on a penalty shot.  Â
Walsh would once again go on to score in the 81
st minute to seal the victory.
The Pioneers, 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the GLIAC, will host conference opponent the University of Findlay on Friday, September 26
