The Malone University men's soccer team lost at home to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponent and NCAA Division II #2 Saginaw Valley State University (MI), 3-0, Sunday afternoon.
 
In the 22^nd minute of the first half, the Cardinals scored their first goal of the game making it a 1-0 lead. The Pioneers played aggressive in the first half as the score remained 1-0 at the half.
 
The Cardinals came out quick in the second half as they scored within 10 minutes. They went on to score again in the 65^th minute to seal the victory.
 
Malone had 11 shot attempts, while Saginaw Valley State had 18.
 
The Pioneers, now 1-3 and 0-3 in the GLIAC, will return to action on Friday, September 26^th as they travel to play GLIAC opponent Lake Erie College at 11 a.m.
