The Malone University softball team (8-23, 2-17 GLIAC) went 0-2 on Saturday at Wayne State (MI) University (20-17, 11-6 GLIAC), falling by scores of 15-0 and 9-1.
Wayne State took game one behind 18 hits and five Malone errors. Junior

Marionna Cane contributed the four hits for the Pioneers.
Malone took a 1-0 lead in game two of the twinbill behind a first-inning home run from Holztrager, her fourth dinger of the year. They maintained the lead up until the third inning when the Warriors broke through for four runs. Wayne State would tack on a run in the fourth and four more in the fifth to preserve the win.
