The junior guard averaged 19.5 points, five rebounds, 2.5 assists and two steals on the week. She tossed in a game-high 20 points during Monday's 82-59 triumph over St. Joseph's after connecting on seven of nine shots from the floor, including 4-of-5 attempts from beyond the three-point arc. Reale then posted 19 points and three steals on Wednesday as Malone overcame a 13-point deficit in the second half to register a 78-70, comeback win against Ursuline.
Reale currently ranks 10th in the conference in scoring with an average of 14.8 points per game. In addition, her 55.6% accuracy from beyond the three-point arc is fifth-best in the GLIAC and she is tied for eighth in steals at 2.2 per outing.
Malone is now 4-0 on the year, which marks its best start to a season since the 2006-07 squad won its first eight games. The Pioneers begin conference play this week with a trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Malone will face off with NCAA Division II #22 Michigan Tech University on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. before taking on Northern Michigan University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
