The Malone University volleyball team lost in three sets on the road to GLIAC opponent Northwood University (MI) on Saturday by the score of 14-25, 16-25, 19-25.
With the loss, the Pioneers fell to 7-8 overall and to 2-5 in the GLIAC while the Timberwolves, with the victory, climbed to 10-5 overall and to 5-2 in GLIAC play while extending their winning streak to five matches.
The hosts were efficient on offense posting a .281 attack percentage while the Pioneers struggled at .091. Â The Timberwolves drilled 41 kills on the day, to Malone's 21, and posted 45 digs while the Pioneers tallied 23. NU also recorded seven service aces in the match while holding Malone to just two.
Outside hitter
Anna Hays racked up a team-best eight kills while also contributing a pair of digs and a service ace. Outside hitter
Taylor Slauterbeck recorded four kills in the match and also two digs, one service ace and a solo block. Â
Elizabeth Maczuzak blasted three kills and tallied three digs as well. Â In addition, setters

Brianna Clegg dished up nine and 10 assists, respectively.
