The Malone University volleyball team suffered a four-set loss at home to Northwood University (MI) on Saturday afternoon in Malone's Osborne Hall. The Pioneers lost 25-23, 18-25, 15-25, 16-25 and are now 7-6 on the season (3-4 GLIAC) while the Timberwolves improved to 12-3 overall and remained perfect in GLIAC play at 7-0.
Middle hitter
Lauren Townley helped fuel the Pioneer offensive attack by pounding down a team-high 13 kills while also contributing a solo block, four block assists and three digs for the defensive cause. Outside hitter
Taylor Slauterbeck drilled 10 kills and also chipped in with six digs and three block assists.

Hannah Haver blasted eight kills and tallied three digs and a service ace while right side hitter
Diana Wallace pocketed five kills, four digs and an ace.
Setter
Jackie Schwamberger issued an impressive 32 assists in the four-set affair and also scooped up a team-best 11 digs to go along with one ace on the day.
Northwood's offense was paced by Julia Pakhomenko and Zina Liubymova who nailed 16 and 11 kills, respectively, for the match. The duo also had a team-best three service aces apiece as the visitors drilled an impressive 14 aces in the contest.. In addition, the Timberwolves' setter Jordan Dunn tossed up 45 assists for the match.
