The Malone University volleyball team completed a season sweep of local rival Walsh University with a four-set road victory Tuesday night. The Cavaliers took the first set of the evening 25-23 before the Pioneers fought back to claim the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) match with victories of 25-21, 25-20 and 25-22 in the next three frames.
When combined with a four-set triumph at Osborne Hall on September 25, Tuesday's victory marked the first time since 2005 that Malone (17-9 overall, 10-6 GLIAC) has won both of its regular-season meetings with Walsh (9-15 overall, 6-10 GLIAC). In addition, Tuesday's win gave the Pioneers their first triumph on the Cavs' home court since 2008.

Jackie Schwamberger also made significant contributions with 37 assists, 17 digs, three kills and two blocks (one solo).
Julianne O'Donnell paced the Cavaliers with 16 kills and 19 digs.
The Pioneers, winners of seven of their last eight matches, will conclude their regular-season schedule this weekend with a pair of home contests. Malone will face Tiffin University (9-18 overall, 2-14 GLIAC) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday before taking on Ohio Dominican University (12-15 overall, 6-10 GLIAC) on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Live streaming video and statistics will be available during both contests.
