The Malone University volleyball team dropped a four-set match at home to Northern Michigan University on Friday evening by scores of 20-25, 25-17, 18-25, and 15-25. The Pioneers slipped to 7-7 overall and 3-5 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) with the loss. The Wildcats, meanwhile, snapped a two-game slide, improving to 12-5 overall and 5-3 in conference play.

Taylor Slauterbeck led the way for the hosts with 11 kills. Right-side hitter
Diana Wallace added eight kills. Middle hitter
Hannah Haver tallied seven kills and two blocks (one solo) while middle hitter
Lauren Townley registered six kills and two solo blocks. Setter
Jackie Schwamberger also made solid contributions with 27 assists and a team-high 13 digs.
Northern Michigan was paced by Kalli Herron's 13 kills and Kalin Zimmerman's 21 digs.
The Pioneers will look to bounce back on Saturday when they host a 2:00 p.m. contest against Michigan Tech (5-11 overall, 2-6 GLIAC). Live video and statistics will be provided for fans that cannot be in attendance.
