The Malone University volleyball team extended its winning streak to eight matches on Tuesday night with a three-set victory at Cedarville University. With the 25-20, 25-17, 26-24 triumph, the Pioneers improved their overall mark to 19-7 while the Yellow Jackets slipped to 15-13.
Tuesday's win also evened Malone's 2011 record against Cedarville at 1-1 as the Yellow Jackets had previously posted a 25-22, 26-24, 25-21 victory at Osborne Hall on September 20th.

Lauren Townley each registered nine kills to pace the Pioneer attack. Haver added three block assists while Townley posted two solo blocks and two block assists. Outside hitter

The Pioneers will look to keep rolling over the weekend when the squad returns to action with four matches at Madonna (MI) University's Crusader Classic. Malone will open play at the event on Friday with a 3:00 p.m. contest against the tournament host, Madonna. The Pioneers will then wrap up day one of the event with a 5:00 p.m. match against Davenport (MI) University. On Saturday, Malone will face Rochester (MI) College at 11:30 a.m. before concluding the weekend with a 1:30 p.m. contest against NAIA #21 Bellevue (NE) University.
