The Malone University volleyball team picked up a 25-13, 25-21, 25-15 non-conference victory at home over NCAA Division II Urbana University on Wednesday evening. The Pioneers' overall record improved to 22-3 with the three-set win while the Blue Knights fell to 6-13.

Outside hitter Jennifer Gahagan led the way for Malone with eight kills and nine digs. Fellow outside hitter Lori Gale followed with seven kills, four service aces, six digs and two blocks (one solo). Middle hitter Hannah Haver added six kills, three aces and six digs. Other contributors included right-side hitter Megan Fisher with five kills and two blocks (one solo), middle hitter Lauren Townley with four kills and three blocks (one solo) and setter Jackie Schwamberger with 26 assists and six digs.

The Pioneers will be idle over the weekend and will return to action next Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. non-conference match on the road against local rival Walsh University.
