Josh Abend pocketed his first career goal off a pass from Delgado with just 49 seconds remaining in the first half to give the hosts a 1-0 lead at intermission. The score then remained unchanged until the 82nd minute when Daemen was credited with an own goal after a Pioneer defender accidentally knocked the rebound from a Wildcat shot into his own net. The game remained knotted at 1-1 through the remainder of regulation and the first 10-minute overtime before Eades and Delgado connected on the game-ending score.
Daemen held an 11-8 advantage in total shots on goal over the course of the match as Malone keeper
Tony Davis posted nine saves.
The Pioneers will look to make it two in a row on Saturday when they host an important AMC match at 3:00 p.m. against Houghton (NY) College (9-5-0 overall, 4-1-0 AMC).
