Olivia Besancon begins her second season with the Malone women’s basketball coaching staff in 2019-20.
Besancon comes to Malone from Muskingum University where she was a four-year starter and three-year captain, appearing in 100 games for the Muskies. She finished her career with 1,158 points and 181 three-pointers. As a senior, she averaged 17.0 points per game and was named Second Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC). She was twice named Academic All-OAC.
Olivia graduated from Muskingum in May of 2018 with degrees in Business Management and Marketing and a minor in Coaching. During her time as an undergrad, Besancon worked in the Muskingum athletics department all four years and she served as a student assistant on the volleyball team. Additionally, Besancon was involved in the Muskingum University Business Club and Athletes in Action.
Besancon graduated from Smithville High School in 2014 where she was a Second Team All-Ohioan. During her prep career, the Smithies twice reached the Ohio State Final Four (2012, 2014).
Olivia is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration while at Malone.
