Haines, a left-handed starting pitcher, tossed seven strong innings Wednesday to lead Malone to a 4-1 win in game two of the NCCAA East Region Championship Series against Geneva College. The victory allowed the Pioneers to clinch the East Region Title and earn an automatic bid to the NCCAA World Series. Haines struck out a career-high 11 batters and allowed just the one run on three hits during his complete-game effort.
