In the summer of 2022 Mark Bankert returned to a role within the department of athletics as the Faculty Athletics Representative.
Previously Mark served as the associate athletic director and sports information director for the Pioneers from 1987-2015. He now works across campus as an Assistant Professor of Sport Management.
Bankert graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Business Administration in 1984, and completed a master's degree in Sports Administration from Ohio University in 1986.
He and his wife, Colleen, and their three children, Rebecca, Joel, and Joshua, live in Canton.
