Shavon Robinson

Shavon Robinson enters her sixth season as a member of the Malone Women’s Basketball coaching staff in 2026-27. Over the past five years, Robinson has helped guide Malone to a 107-44 record, including four 20+ win seasons.

As a part of the staff with Malone, Robinson has helped contribute to a 25-7 record in 2025-26, the best mark in the program's NCAA Division II era. The team also reached as high as #16 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) national poll. The Pioneers have made two NCAA Tournament appearances with Robinson on staff and Erin Kaufman became a two-time All-American. The primary responsibilities for Robinson include player development, recruiting, scouting and gameday management.

As a player, Robinson competed at Ohio University and Shawnee State University. She was named Mid-American Conference (MAC) All-Freshman Team and was the second-leading scorer in her freshman, sophomore and junior seasons. Robinson averaged 12.5 points per game on 47.4% from the field. At Shawnee State, she helped lead the program to their first-ever Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship in 2014-15 with a 22-10 overall record. She averaged 12.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game with the Bears.

In high school, Robinson won All-Stark County Player of the Year honors at Canton South High School. Robinson finished her career as a two-time OHSAA Division II All-Ohio First-Team recipient, 2010 McDonald's All-American Nominee, and a two-time Division II District Champion with the Wildcats, which led to her induction into the Canton South Athletic Hall of Fame in 2017.
