Peggy Ewald is entering her first season as the Interim Head Swimming and Diving Coach at Malone for the 2020-21 season. 

Ewald has an incredible coaching pedigree that includes collegiate, national and international competition. Most recently, Ewald has served as a Travel Coach Member of the U.S. Paralympic Team, U.S. Paralympics Swimming Education Consultant, and Head Men’s & Women’s Swimming Coach at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.
 
As a travel coach with the U.S. Paralympic Team in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ewald was the head coach at the 2018 World Series Meet in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy, the 2011 Para Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, the 2009 Youth Para Pan American Games in Bogata, Columbia, and the 2007 Para Pan AM Meet in Rio de Janiero Brazil. She has been with the U.S. Paralympic team since 2005.
 
As an Education Consultant for U.S. Paralympics Swimming, she is in charge of creating, developing and presenting educational clinics on how to grow and improve the sport for all swimmers. Some of the areas she has focused on are growing grassroot programs in South Africa, performance progression, camps for national programs and emerging programs and training for Paralympic athletes.
 
At the collegiate level, Ewald was a staple at Ohio Northern University, coaching the swimming and diving program for the Polar Bears from 2003-2018. At the institution, Ewald has produced 13 NCAA DIII All-Americans, had 17 student-athletes named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Swimmers and Divers of the Year, 169 Conference Champions from individuals and 87 Conference Champion relay teams. Ewald led the Polar Bear men to 12 consecutive conference championships as a team and seven overall conference championships for the women. Under Ewald, swimmers have set 176 new school records at Ohio Northern.
 
Ewald won an incredible 10 OAC Coach of the Year Awards over the course of her tenure at Ohio Northern. In the classroom, Ewald led her swimmers to 16 Academic All-American Awards and eight Team Academic Awards. Ewald led 67 Academic All-Conference student-athletes in her collegiate coaching career.
