Laura Lindsay is entering her first season as an assistant swimming and diving coach at Malone and third year of coaching overall. She is a 2012 graduate of the University of Toledo and has had coaching experience ranging from Age-Group to High School and now reaching the collegiate level.Â
Lindsay was a two-time Division I All-American at the University of Toledo in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke. She is the current Mid-American Conference record holder in both the 100 (59.61) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:09.79).  At the 2012 Olympic Trials, she was ranked in the Top 20 and currently has seeds for the 2016 Olympic Trials for both the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke. She is currently swimming for the Arena Pro Swim series, and at these meets, she is ranked Top 8 among Olympians and World Champions.Â
In addition, Lindsay also coaches the age group program for Canton City Schools. She has had the opportunity to coach several young athletes to an elite level. One of which has the highest ranking 50 and 100 breaststroke times in the country for the boys 10-and-under age group.Â
AÂ Summit county native, Lindsay participates in many community activities.Â
Away from the pool, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and attending youth games with her boyfriend and his three kids. Â Â
