Biography

Prior to Malone: As a dual-threat quarterback, Mitchell led East Canton to back-to-back playoff appearances in 2016 and 2017 and the school’s first-ever playoff victory.. Named All-Stark County, First Team All-Northeast Inland District, and Honorable Mention All-Ohio. A three-sport athlete (basketball and track & field), he also helped the Hornets capture the 2017 and 2018 OHSAA DIII State Track & Field Championships. His 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams each claimed state titles in 2018.
