Lisimba Patilla enters his first season on the Pioneer staff and will coach the cornerbacks. Patilla played four years (two-year starter) at Northwood (MI) University from 1992-96, leading the team in pass break-ups in ’93 and ’94. He coached defensive backs at Akron Buchtel High School (Div. III state runners-up) in 2010.
Patilla graduated from Northwood in 1996 with a degree in Business Administration and he earned an MBA in 2005 from the University of Phoenix. He is also a Youth Minister at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church in Medina, Ohio and also owns his own education consulting business. He and his wife, Dr. Tamika Patilla, and their two daughters, Marcella (2) and Laila (2 months), reside in Medina.
