Josh Flannery returns for his fifth season on the Pioneer staff in 2014 and will work with the cornerbacks and serve as the special teams coordinator after previously serving as Malone’s wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator.
Flannery, who received his master’s degree in Sport Ministry from Malone in 2012, was a wide receiver at Greenville College from 2004-2008 under current Pioneer head coach Eric Hehman and offensive coordinator Joel Penner.
During his final semester at Greenville, he helped coach receivers while completing his bachelor’s degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation (HPR).
Under Flannery’s guidance, four Pioneer wide receivers have earned all-conference recognition over his three years coaching the position.
Josh and his wife, Abby, currently reside in Canton, Ohio and welcome their first child, Isaac Joshua this summer.
