Dwayne Aaron Headshot 2018

Dwayne Aaron

Dwayne Aaron begins his second season as a member of the Pioneer coaching staff in 2018. Aaron, who arrived at Malone after wrapping up his collegiate playing career as a running back at the University of Mt. Union, will work with the Pioneer slots and tight ends.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Aaron played in 14 games for the Purple Raiders as a senior in 2016, piling up 76 carries for 450 yards and five touchdowns.  His senior season included an 84-yard performance in a win over Heidelburg and a 12-carry, 64-yard showing in Mt. Union’s NCAA Division III playoff victory over Johns Hopkins.  As a junior in 2015, Aaron also made significant contributions, posting 342 rushing yards and two TD’s on 65 carries.

“We are really excited to bring Dwayne on board,” commented Malone football head coach Fred Thomas.  “He came highly recommended from Mount Union head coach Vince Kehres and has played for championship programs in both high school and college."

Following his graduation from Lakewood St. Edward High School, Aaron attended Siena Heights University in Michigan before joining the Purple Raiders prior to the start of his sophomore year.  Aaron then graduated from Mt. Union in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Business.
