Denny Blake returns to the Pioneer coaching staff in 2018 and will assist on the defensive side of the ball, working primarily with the linebackers. Blake has served as a Pioneer assistant for several years under former Malone coaches Dan Hanson and Mike Gardner and for six years under Eric Hehman. He is a graduate of Lincoln High School in Canton.
After graduating from Lincoln, Denny played football for Harbor Junior College in Los Angeles, California and then later transferred to the University of Akron where he wrapped up his collegiate playing career as an inside linebacker for the Zips.
