Malone University Athletics

Prior To Malone: Jones transfers to the Pioneers after establishing himself as one of the premier track and field stars in the area at the University of Akron. He was the 2012 Mid-American Conference Decathlon Champion, a two-time Academic All-American, and a 2013 NCAA Regional Qualifier while competing for the Zips. Prior to his time at Akron, Jones starred as a quarterback for Northwest High School. He was voted the 2009 Stark County Player of the Year after setting single-season passing records of 3,030 yards and 29 TDs. He was also Second Team All-Ohio, First Team All-County, and First Team All-Northeastern Buckeye Conference (NBC) in that same year. Jones will join the Malone football program with the eligibility of a junior and will study Education.
