- Blaz participated in both cross country and track & field at Chippewa High School. He was a 4x team captain for cross country and guided his team to a pair of County Runner-Up titles.
- Individually in cross country, he was recognized for many awards that included: 2x First Team All-WCAL, 1x regional qualifier, 1x Second Team All-District, and 2x Most Valuable Runner In track & field Blaz was a 2x regional qualifier, 1x indoor state qualifier, and 1x First Team All-District.
- Academically, he held a 4.2 GPA and was a 4x Honor Roll recipient.

- Majoring in Data Analytics and Sports Management with a minor in Mathematics
