13th Annual 10-Mile Relay - Preseason Fun Race

1000m Kids (ages 4-13) Race - 4:00 PM
Relay - 4:30 PM
We will be having a 2-mile relay type meet on August 15th, 2017. You would have to enter your team as a club as it is before you can legally compete in an official meet (high school). The OHSAA offices will allow the use of school vehicles, etc.
We will stage a 5-person relay race with each runner going 2 miles. The course will be the first two miles of our regular cross country course but they will encounter log jumps and a water pit to run through (European Style). When they enter a 10-meter zone the next runner can take off – our school mascot (the moose) will be in the area and if the moose touches your runner, 5 seconds will be added to the total team time.
It should be a fun time and we will have high school, jr. high, and open teams all competing at the same time. We will have nine categories: Boys/Men, Girls/Women, and Co-ed for each group. We will start the race at 4:30 pm and it should be over by 6:00 pm with awards given out and everything concluded.
You do not need to pre-register. You can register individual names the day of the race and pay the day of. We will charge $5 per athlete. You may enter 1 team, 2 teams, etc or even a partial team. Don’t leave anyone at home. We will give awards for each Division, ex: high school, hr. high, college, open. We will also give an award for the most unique team name & the most unique team uniform.

****For younger runners ages 4-13 who would rather run a non-relay race,
we will be conducting a 1000 meter kid’s race at 4:00 p.m. *****
