2017: Played in nine games primarily as a special teams player and reserve linebacker…Made one start (Kentucky Wesleyan)…Recorded 28 total tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss…Registered first career sack against Missouri S&T (9/23/17)…Tallied a season-high six tackles and a pass breakup in season opener at Taylor (9/2/17)

Prior to Malone: Bata transferred to Malone from Division I FBS Eastern Michigan. Named Honorable Mention All-Ohio in as well as First Team All-Southwestern Conference at Westlake High School.
