Biography
2016-17 (Track): Hale placed 7th in the G-MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships in the shot put with a throw of 12.46 meters. He also scored a career-best throw of 12.94 meters in the weight throw. During the outdoor track & field season, Hale had career-best throws in the discus (37.76 meters), hammer throw (35.96 meters) and javelin (43.34 meters).
2016: Hale appeared in all nine games, making eight starts at defensive tackle...Finished the season with 16 tackles (2 solo, 14 assisted), a pass breakup, and a tackle for loss...G-MAC All-Academic
2015: Hale started all ten games at defensive end for the Pioneers...Recorded 31 total tackles (12 solo, 19 assists)...Recorded a season-high seven tackles on two occasions...Registered a sack in the season finale vs. Northwood (11/14/2015)...Recovered a fumble at. Wayne State (9/19/2015)...Named to the GLIAC All-AcademicTeam
2014: Hale played in 10 games for the Pioneers… Recorded 19 tackles on the season, including 1.5 tackles per loss… Had a season-high four tackles against the University of Findlay (11/8/14)… Forced one fumble against Michigan Tech University (9/13/14) and had one fumble recovery against Northern Michigan University (10/11/14)… Lead the GLIAC in blocked kicks on the season with four.
2013: Hale played in nine games for the Pioneers… Tallied 19 tackles on the season… Had a season-high four tackles on two different occasions… Recorded his first career sack at Alderson Broaddus (11/2/13).
Prior to Malone: Hale is a two-year letter winner in football and track & field….named Second Team All-GWOC (Great Western Ohio Conference) in football…also a very accomplished thrower in track & field.
