2017 (Track): Cary won the weight throw at the 2017 G-MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships with a distance of 15.11 meters. He also set a career mark in the shot put (11.58 meters) during indoor season. At the 2017 G-MAC Outdoor Championships, Cary finished fifth in both the discus and hammer throw, with throws of 38.90 meters and 45.19 meters.
