2016-17: Taylor won the Division II National Championship in the discus with a career-high throw of 58.78 meters. He won the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Male Athlete of the Year. At the G-MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Taylor won the discus as well as the hammer throw, and placed 2nd in the shot put. He set a career mark in the javelin throw at the meet with a throw of 36.26 meters. 

2015-16: Outdoor Season best- 14.03m in Shotput, 56.01m in Discus, 58.90m in Hammer... Taylor finished in second in Discus at the 2016 GLIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship. He then went on to place 3rd in Discus at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships awarding him All-American honors. Taylor also placed 11th in Hammer at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Taylor broke the school record for Hammer throw several times this season, with a final mark of 193' 3".
