STUNT Completes Run at Nationals

04/24/26

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The 2026 season came to an end for the Malone University STUNT team after an 18-8 loss to Maryville University on Friday afternoon. The Pioneers end their year at 16-10 to double their win total from one season ago. The season continues for the Saints at 27-5.

Maryville claimed a 4-2 lead after partner stunts, but Malone was able to grab the point in routine four. A 5-1 difference in scoring led to a 9-3 advantage for the Saints at halftime. The Pioneers secured their lone point of the period on routine two of pyramids and tosses.

The third quarter was much more favorable for Malone, but Maryville extended their lead to 14-7. The Pioneers took routine three of jumps and tumbling by a 2-1 score and notched a tie on routine one. Team routine required just one round after the Saints were victorious 4-1 to go up 18-8 and secure the victory.

It was a memorable season for Malone STUNT with their first appearance at the College STUNT National Championships in the final year of its existence. The Pioneers look ahead to 2027 when STUNT becomes an NCAA sport.
