NEW CONCORD, Ohio - In a rematch of a previous season matchup, the Malone University STUNT team was defeated by Muskingum University in a close contest, 25-24. The Pioneers conclude the regular season with a record of 15-7 and Muskingum does the same at 12-2.

The Muskies took an early 6-2 lead and claimed all four routines in partner stunts. Malone was able to turn the tables in pyramids and tosses by winning all four of those routines to even the score at 9-9 at halftime. The Pioneers took their first and only lead of the game after a 1-1 tie in the first round of jumps and tumbling and a 1-0 victory in round two. Muskingum was chosen as the winner of rounds three and four to give the home squad a 14-13 advantage going into the fourth quarter.
Â
Malone had initially retaken the lead in the first round of team routine, but a successful challenge by the Muskies brought the score back to even at 16-16. The teams were dead even at 19-19 through two rounds of team routine. Muskingum won the third round 4-3 to take the lead once again, 23-22 and did just enough to secure the 25-24 win in the fourth and final round, which ended in a 2-2 tie.
