CANTON, Ohio - The Malone University STUNT team overpowered the Walsh University Cavaliers on Wednesday in their home finale 27-11. The Pioneers are now 13-4 overall and 5-3 inside the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). The Cavaliers fall to 3-10 and 2-8 in conference play.
 
Malone opened the contest with a 4-0 sweep of partner stunts. The torrid pace continued despite Walsh getting on the board with two points. The Pioneers outscored the Cavaliers in all three routines the teams competed in and led 9-2 at halftime.
 
After a pair of 1-1 ties in routines one and two in jumps and tumbling, Walsh won their first routine of the night. Malone was able to answer with a 2-1 win in the final routine of the quarter to go into the fourth quarter with a 14-7 lead.
 
Team routine saw the Pioneers pull away from their opponents for the 27-11 win. In routines one and two, Malone was victorious 4-1 in each after a successful challenge by the Pioneer coaching staff. They would take routines three and four as well 2-1 and 3-1.
 
Up next, Malone takes part in the Ashland STUNT Invite beginning on Saturday, March 21. The first game will come against the Davenport University Panthers at 10:00 A.M.
