GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Malone University STUNT team traveled to Davenport University for a tri-match against the host Panthers and Tiffin University Dragons. The Pioneers moved to 12-4 overall and 4-3 inside the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) via a 34-11 loss to Davenport (8-1, 7-0 G-MAC) and a 23-21 victory over Tiffin (11-6, 5-4 G-MAC).

MALONE vs DAVENPORT RECAP:
Malone scored a point in the first round of partner stunts, but the Panthers jumped ahead 5-1 after the first quarter. They further extended their lead to 11-3 in pyramids and tosses, but the Pioneers were able to net points in rounds one and two.

Quarter three was much of the same, with the Panthers taking all four rounds and Malone scoring in rounds one and two. Team routine is where the undefeated team in the league began to pull away. They won rounds 4-1, 5-3, 3-0 and 5-2 in team routine to secure the 34-11 final score.

MALONE vs TIFFIN RECAP:
Quarters one, two and three were completely even between these two teams as Malone and Tiffin struggled for control. The scoring was 4-4 in partner stunts, pyramids and tosses, and jumps and tumbling to make it 12-12 heading into team routine.

The Pioneers seized control of the game in the first and second rounds of team routine and outscored the Dragons 4-3 in both. The judges decided that both sides were even in round three of the quarter to set up Malone to select routine eight, which neither side was able to gain points on. The score of 23-21 stood as the Pioneers earned their first win in program history over Tiffin.
