CANTON, Ohio – The Malone University STUNT team held their 2025 home opener on Thursday evening against Tiffin University. The Pioneers were unable to maintain their pace and fell to the Dragons by a score of 11-9.
 
Malone is now 4-7 on the year and 1-5 inside the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). The Tiffin Dragons are 7-7 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
 
The Pioneers claimed a 2-1 lead after partner stunts and doubled their lead before halftime. A successful challenge by the Dragons pushed Malone down one point before the break.
 
The third quarter (jumps and tumbling) was all Tiffin with four unanswered points to go up 6-4. The Pioneers were able to score five points in the fourth quarter (team routines), but the Dragons matched with five points of their own. Another successful challenge by Tiffin allowed the visitors to seal the deal for the conference win.
 
Malone is on the road for their next contest on March 14 at Mercyhurst University. The game begins at 6:00 P.M.
