ERIE, Pa. – In a non-conference game against NCAA Division I Mercyhurst University, the Malone University STUNT team came up short by a score of 20-8 on Friday night. The Lakers move to 9-7 with the win while the Pioneers fall to 4-8 overall.
 
Malone struggled early on against Mercyhurst and fell behind 4-0 after the first quarter. The Pioneers got on the scoreboard in the second quarter, but still trailed 7-1 at halftime. Malone would be shut out in the third quarter as well, but had a fantastic fourth quarter.
 
In the team routine portion of the evening, the Pioneers rallied for seven points. The Lakers unfortunately would maintain the gap with nine fourth quarter points themselves.
 
Malone will celebrate their seniors in between games against Walsh University (11:00 A.M.) and Ursuline College (1:00 P.M.) on Saturday, March 15.
