ASHLAND, Ohio – The Malone University STUNT program began the 2025 season at Ashland University for a tri-match against the host Eagles and Davenport University. The Pioneers came up short in both games and fall to 0-2 both overall and in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). Ashland is 5-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play while Davenport advanced to 2-0 on the year.
 
MALONE vs DAVENPORT RECAP:
The Davenport Panthers were able to triumph over Malone by a score of 24-0. Davenport is second in the Division II national rankings and flexed their muscles with a shutout win over the Pioneers. The Panthers held an 8-0 lead at halftime and built upon that advantage with a 12-point fourth quarter.
 
MALONE vs ASHLAND RECAP:
The Eagles would also get the better of Malone with a 23-0 victory on their home floor. Ashland led 11-0 after three quarters, but pulled away in a lopsided fourth quarter. The Eagles were able to outscore the Pioneers by 12 in the closing period.
 
UP NEXT:
The Pioneers will travel to Notre Dame, Indiana to compete in the Crossroads Rumble at Saint Mary's College on February 15-16.
