KENOSHA, Wisc. - Hayden Schmidt of the Malone University men's cross country team earned All-Midwest Region honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) due to his efforts at the Midwest Regional Championships last weekend.
 
The Sidney, Ohio native scored a 25th-place finish at the meet to secure the final spot on the All-Region team. His time of 31:28.5 is a new personal best in the 10k. This is the first time that the senior has earned an NCAA All-Region honor.
 
The Pioneers look forward to the NCCAA Cross Country National Championships for their final event of the year on Friday, November 14. Action begins at 9:00 A.M. CST in Joplin, Missouri.
