Ashland, Ohio -- The Malone University Track & Field wrapped up their indoor portion of the year by competing at the 2024 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Track & Field Indoor Championship. 

The Men finished in 10th place and the Women brought home several PR's and a handful of strong performances. 

RESULTS

Notable Performances:

For the Women, Kristin Yeager ran a the mile in a time of 5:13.98, good for 11th place. Macey Hicks finished 18th in the 60m dash with a time of 8 seconds flat. 

On the Men's side, Tyler Twining scored the Pioneers with an 8th place finish in the 800m dash running a time of 1:53.17. He was followed by Eric Dehmer who finished 9th with a time of 1:53.83. Alex Swinehart finished 7th in the 1000m run with a time of 2:48.33. Hayden Schmidt wrapped up the strong performances with two dominant runs in the distance events. In the mile, he finished 7th with a time of 4:11.01. In the 3000m run, Schmidt brought home 6th with a time of 8:24.47.
