Malone Underway in Two-Day Swim Meet with Notre Dame

Day One Results

The Malone University swimming & diving team completed the first of two days in a unique home-and-home meet at Notre Dame College Friday night. The Pioneers will next host the Falcons in the second day of competition, on Saturday at 4:00 pm at the CT Branin Natatorium in Canton.

Both Malone teams trail Notre Dame, as the women are down 76-71 and the men are behind 84-64 through day one of completion. Friday's meet featured eight events, including some uncommon distances. The Pioneer women claimed four of the eight events in the 9-4-3-2-1 scoring format, while the men were victorious in three.

"Both teams showed up tonight, but after the first night, we were out-raced.  I look forward to seeing how we respond." – head coach Russ Hunt.
