The Malone University men's and women's swimming & diving teams completed day two at the Oberlin College Invitational on Saturday. Following the morning's prelims, a total of nine events, including two relays, were contested in Saturday night's finals. With another day of competition remaining, the Pioneer women sit in third place among 13 teams while the men are in fourth position among 12.

50-Yard Freestyle
Macy Williams (24.49) and
Abby Reynolds (24.57) went 3-4 in the women's A final and
Kinsey Knoch (25.63) won the B final with a ninth-place overall finish. In the men's races,
Ezra Ferguson was the lone Pioneer to reach the A Final, finishing seventh in 22.23.

Junior
Denise Quentin, the only Pioneer woman to ever break 52 seconds in the event, won the A Final with a time of 51.83.
Macy Williams (52.77) recorded the third-best performance in school history on her way to third place.
Abby Reynolds (53.15) claimed fourth.
Samuel Rigdon (51.78), was Malone's top men's swimmer, placing 16th.

In the longest race of the evening,
Nick Wertz placed third in the A Final with a time of 4:46.4.
Stephany Aeling was the lone Pioneer woman to compete in the Finals, placing 16th overall in 5:31.82.

100 Breaststroke
In the men's A Final,
Fabian Loewe (59.93) and
Ezra Ferguson (1:00.01) secured points for the Pioneers, placing fifth and sixth, respectively.
Bradley Bowers (1:02.92) was the top placer in the B Final, finishing 13th overall.
Jessica Slater was 12th in the women's event, touching the wall in 1:12.98.

200 Backstroke
Danielle Ward (2:10.39) placed fourth in the A Final while
Brittany Sheets (2:23.93) finished 13th, swimming the B Final. Ward, the school record holder, improved her program-best time by over two seconds in the event.
Brice Dixon (2:01.93) and
Cole Travis (2:16.81), placed 9th and 14th in the men's event.

200 Fly
Earning fifth place in the men's A Final,
Caleb Cosentino touched the wall in 1:59.02, the sixth Pioneer in program history to break two minutes.
Rhett Sanford swam to a 10th-place finish in 2:05.27. No Malone women entered the event

200 Individual Medley
Two Pioneer women,
Denise Quentin (2:10.61) and
Danielle Ward (2:13.94) competed in the A Final, finishing second and fourth, respectively. While Quentin is already the school record holder in the event, Ward posted the fourth-fastest mark in program history. Competing in the men's B Final,
Brice Dixon was Malone's top finisher in a time of 2:02.09.

Denise Quentin,
Macy Williams,
Nicole Kenny, and
Abby Reynolds delivered a victory for the Pioneers, sprinting to a 1:37.20 first-place finish and the second-best time in school history.
Brice Dixon,
Ezra Ferguson,
Caleb Cosentino, and
Samuel Rigdon teamed up for a fourth-place finish in the men's race with a time of 1:28.60.

In the final race of the evening,
Danielle Ward,
Denise Quentin,
Macy Williams, and
Abby Reynolds placed second in the women's event with a time of 4:00.57, setting the
school record by nearly three seconds in the process. On the men's side,
Brice Dixon,
Fabian Loewe,
Caleb Cosentino, and
Ezra Ferguson came in third place with a time of 3:35.96
