ResultsThe Malone University men's and women's swimming and diving teams hosted Wheeling Jesuit University (WV) at the C.T. Branin Natatorium Friday night as the Pioneer men won 117-95 and the Malone women lost 113-98.

Russ Hunt. "We stated a cause to the campus, and to see the student body show their support in the way they did was emotional."
Five women placed first in tonight's meet.
Carolin Friedrich finished first in two events, the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle with times of 2:01.47 and 5:24.29 respectively.
Marta Jankowska placed first in two events as well, the 200-yard butterfly and the 400-yard individual medley with times of 2:12.78 and 4:47.21 respectively. Finally, the members of the 400-yard medley relay team of
Brittany McCue,
Olivia Bently, Jankowska and Friedrich finished with a 4:10.89 time.
Other event winners for the women are
Kaitlyn Hoch in the 1 meter diving with a 181.45 score and
Charis Parker in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing with a 2:32.63 time.
In addition, the members of the women's team who placed second in their events are
Christina Neumann in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:34.93),
Brittany McCue in the 200-yard backstroke (2:22.53), and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of
Christina Yu,
Quincy Livchak, Neumann, and Hoch (1:52.69).
On the men's side, there were five first place finishers.
Tim Collet in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:23.30), Zach Misak in the 50-yard freestyle (21.50),
Florian Zellin in the 400-yard individual medley (4:18.58 and in the 200-butterfly (1:59.50),
Cory Boogaart in the 200-freestyle (1:45.96) and the 200-yard freestyle relay members which consisted of Boogaart, Eckard, Misak and
Hector Gonzalez who finished with a 1:26.47 time, which is now the 6
th fastest time in Malone history.
In addition, the members of the men's team who placed second in their events are Collet in the 200-yard butterfly (2:00.54), Misak in the 200-yard backstroke (1:58.91), Christoph Eckard in the 100-yard freestyle (48.24), Boogaart in the 500-yard freestyle (5:00.61) and the members of the 400-yard individual medley relay which were Gonzalez, Weingart, Zellin and
Evan Dickes with a 3:46.65 mark.

The Malone teams will next compete in a meet at Hiram College, a competition that also includes Ursuline College, next Friday, November 6
