Bourquin, a 1983 graduate of Malone, was a four- year letterman in baseball and was voted First Team ALL- Mid-Ohio Conference and First Team All-District 22 in 1981 and 1982. He was the team captain as well as the team MVP in ’81 and ’82 and earned the Mr. Pioneer Class award for the ’81 season. In his four seasons at Malone, the pioneers posted a combined record of 99-47-1 and earned the MOC and District 22 titles in each season.

Bourquin also has a Masters in Special Education from Walsh University (’89).

Where are they now?

Rocky has recently retired after teaching and coaching for thirty years for Canton Local Schools. He and his wife are now the current owners of McCalls Restaurant and Banquet Center in the Canton South area. They now have five grandchildren and are expecting a sixth in the fall.
