Gary Paustenbach, a 1978 graduate of Malone College (Psychology), was a three-year letterman in golf at Malone. A 1974 graduate of Strasburg High School, Paustenbach was a four-year letter winner in golf, a three-year letterman in basketball and a one-year letterman in football. At Malone, Paustenbach’s highlights include being selected to the All-District and All-MOC Teams twice each, earning district medalist honors and competing in three straight NAIA National Championships as part of an outstanding Malone team. He also held the Malone match record (win-loss record) for 10 years.
In addition, he became Ohio’s youngest golf professional at 23 years of age in the summer of 1978. He was a regional territory manager within the golf industry from 1981-1992. In 1993, he began The Golf Express, Inc., a wholesale supplier to the golf industry, and remains as acting President and owner to this day.
He and his wife, Pam, live in Canton and have two children, Kevin (19) and Kelli (16).
