Glaus, a 1976 Malone graduate, was a four-year letterman on the Pioneer tennis team. Glaus, who did not begin playing tennis until just one year prior to coming to Malone, became the team's number one singles and doubles player for both the 1975 and 1976 seasons. He was the Most Valuable Player on the '75 squad and helped the '76 team qualify for the NAIA National Tournament. Upon graduating from Malone, Glaus traveled the world for 20 years teaching and playing tennis and, in addition, was a chaplain on the men's professional tour for 11 years.

Glaus, who also has an M.A. in Biblical Studies from the Center for Biblical Studies in Dallas, resides in Matthews, North Carolina with his wife, Robin, and their two sons, Garrett and Parker. He is employed by Mutual of New York.
