Davis Baker, a 1976 graduate of Malone, was a four-year letterman in wrestling and a two- year letterman in soccer. As a three time team captain in wrestling, he was named All Mid-Ohio Conference in 1973, ’75 and ’76, voted NAIA All- District 22 in ’74, ’75, and ’76 and was an NAIA National Qualifier in each of his four seasons. In soccer, he was selected All Mid-Ohio Conference, All- NAIA District 22 and team MVP in 1975 and served as team captain as a junior and senior.
Baker also has a Masters of Education degree from Miami University (’82). He is currently the Building Principal at Edgewood Middle School in the Wooster City School System. Baker, his wife Kathryn, and their three sons, Tyler, 9, Ethan, 7, and Spence, 5, reside in Wooster.
