Brice Carlson

Brice Carlson will begin his first season as the Malone offensive line coach in the fall of 2017 after serving in the same capacity at Lindenwood University in 2016.

During Carlson’s one season at Lindenwood, the Lions’ run game improved from 103.9 yards per game in 2015 to 156.6 yards per game in last fall. Under his guidance, the offense also went from 16.2 points per game to 26.1 points last season. With Carlson coordinating the run game, yards per carry increased from 3.1 to 3.8 yards, third down efficiency improved from 27% to 36%, and red-zone touchdown conversion efficiency climbed from 46% to 66%. 

Prior to his stint at Lindenwood, Carlson spent a season as the offensive line coach at the University of West Georgia where the Wolves averaged over 220 yards rushing per game. West Georgia qualified for the NCAA DII Playoffs and won two games before falling to eventual National Champions Northwest Missouri State in the National Semifinal.
 
Before coaching at West Georgia, Carlson spent two seasons as a Graduate Assistant at Delta State University, serving as the Assistant Offensive Line Coach and Assistant Recruiting Liaison. Carlson also served as the Offensive Line Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, and Video Coordinator for two seasons (2011-12) at Becker College in Massachusetts.
 
Carlson was a three-year starter at tackle and center at Guilford College in North Carolina where he earned a Degree in Sport Management in 2011. He earned his Master’s in Human Performance with a concentration in Sports Administration from Delta State in 2015.
