2018 will mark Ryan Hardie's third year as the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator as well as the Linebacker Coach for the Pioneers.
He holds a Master's of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Multi-Age Physical Education from Walsh University. Hardie is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Registered Strength & Conditioning Coach (RSCC) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. He is also a Certified Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting.
In 2015, he worked as a Sports Performance Intern for the The Ohio State University football team. Hardie directly assisted with all training and recovery protocols for OSU’s Fiesta Bowl and Co-East Division Big Ten Championship Team.
In 2014, he served as the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for football as well as women's basketball at Walsh University. Hardie was also the Running Backs Coach for Walsh in 2013 and 2014.
In 2011 and 2012, he served as a student assistant coach, assisting with the Cavaliers' offensive line and strength & conditioning program.
“Ryan is a former player who I have coached with,” said head coach Fred Thomas. “I have seen how he handles himself with young people and how he works with them in the weight room. It was a no-brainer to bring in a certified strength coach, especially someone with Ryan’s knowledge and experience.”
A Canton, Ohio native, Hardie played high school football at GlenOak and his collegiate football under Jim Dennison at Walsh. Hardie currently resides in Canton.
