Collet, a freshman from Illingen, Germany helped Malone to a pair of team dual meet victories last week – a home win over Edinboro University (PA) on Friday and a victory vs. the University of Findlay (at Hillsdale College) on Saturday. Individually on the week, he won all six races in which he was entered.
On Friday, Collet was a triple winner as he first won the grueling 1000 freestyle in a school-record time of 10:06.28 (previous was 10:08.53 set last year), then the 500 free in 4:50.72, and finally the 100 breaststroke in 59.62 seconds.
On Saturday, he took the 200 individual medley (1:59.69) and the 200 butterfly in a school-record time of 1:57.60. In addition, he was also a member of Malone’s winning 400 medley relay team (3:46.35).
